Westport Winter Mixed Pairs - Final Results

The Westport Winter Mixed Pairs finished today with Linda & Mark Lynn holding onto their lead from Monday to take out 1st place with 4 wins +57 shots.

The Westport Winter Mixed Pairs commenced today under ideal weather conditions. Tournament play continues Tuesday, with the winners decided after game 4 tomorrow.

Port Macquarie Mixed Pairs- Final Day


Another beautiful day in Port for the 5th and final game of this popular mixed pairs tournament.

The top ten winners all had 5 wins with margins deciding the rankings. Overall winners were Eve Saunders & Geoff Mitchell (Port City) with 5 wins and an impressive 95 shot margin.

Port Macquarie Mixed Pairs Day 2

What a beautiful winter day for bowls! Play continued today at Westport and Port City under clear skies and a warm sun. Day 2 completes the first 4 games in this tournament with 1 game to play tomorrow, Sunday, in the morning.

Port Macquarie Mixed Pairs

The popular Port Macquarie Mixed Pairs commenced today at Port City & Westport. Entries for play at Hibbard & Westport were consolidated for play at Westport due to entry numbers.

Not the best weather conditions with heavy rains last night and showers during the day.

Results will be posted later when they are available from Port City, the host club.

There won’t be any social bowls on Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon due to the Port Macquarie Mixed Pairs Tournament being held Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Port City Grade 6 & 7 Tournament

The Port City Grade 6 & 7 Men's Triples Tournament was competed today under kind but chilly weather conditions.

In this 8 game tournament 4 teams achieved an impressive 7 wins with the top spot going to A. Wood, S. Starkey & skip J. Kime (composite) with a margin of 58 shots. Click here for the other winning teams and click here for results of all teams.

The Port City Men's Grade 6 & 7 two bowl triples commenced today under clear skies but chilly conditions. Day 1 saw 3 games with 3 again tomorrow (Saturday) then 2 on Sunday.

President Barbara welcomed 44 bowlers to our social day on Tuesday including new bowler Kylie Hardy. We all hope you enjoyed your first game with the ladies, Kylie.
 
There won’t be any ladies social bowls on Saturday morning due to the men’s tournament being played over the weekend.

Port City WBC Club Fours Final


Winners of the Club Fours for 2015
Faye Schollum, Eveline Ramsay, Carol White and Lynne Thompson
who defeated Debbie Amor, Barbara Barrett, Carol Bowman and Judy Brady 24-15.
The spectators were entertained by some very good bowling in the chilly conditions, the rain threatened but luckily held off. .

It was a lovely day for our Ladies Club 61st Birthday on Tuesday and President Barbara welcomed 54 social and 16 championship players to the day’s bowls.
