Farewell from Smitty

My apologies for the lack of posts recently, as my health has declined significantly. My time is nearly up so this will be my last post.  

My late wife (Marianne) and I enjoyed over 40 very enjoyable years involved in the Bowls community in social and pennant competitions, umpiring, club administration roles and news publishing. The connections and friendships we made have been long lasting and provided us much enjoyment and meaning as we made our way through retirement and twilight years. 

Having personally benefited significantly from our bowls community and recognising the important role community sports plays I hope you will all continue to enjoy your participation and encourage new players to join in and keep our clubs energised and growing.
