WEEK ENDING SUNDAY 14TH MAY,
2017
The 2017 Club Champion
was decided on Friday when Geoff Worley defeated Steve Grimshaw in the final of
the Major Singles. Well done Steve for making it to the final and congratulations
Geoff.
Likewise,
congratulations to Doug Porter and Phil Smith who won the Minor Pairs
Championship for 2017 on Saturday defeating Ken Pritchard and Jim McGill and
well done Ken and Jim for making it to the final.
It was a beautiful day
on Wednesday for the Classic Pairs Tournament making everyone a winner. The
teams who collected the prizes however, were Ron and Lynn Thompson 1st,
Vera and Dennis Hamilton 2nd and John Rossitter and Paul Barry
having to settle for 3rd.
On Monday, the winning
rink went to Nola Hall, Vic Ley and Roger Hall. Thursday’s winners were John
Jarvis, Derek Wright and George Ganic with the team of Reg Penney, Reg Garvan
and Wayne Garvan runners up. Les Perry teamed up with Frank Ryan on Saturday to
take the money home.
