Men's Pennant Play

Men's Pennant in the LNC area continued today after the Anzac long weekend break. Grade 1 in the Northern Conference played round 9 while Grades 2 - 7 contested round 7. The next round in all grades will be played tomorrow 1st May. Detailed scoring will be available as follows:

Grade 1: View on the Bowls NSW site or use the link on the right. Zone 14 teams are included in Northern Section 4 and Sections 5 & 6 Combined.

Austratlian Open - Last Chance for Entries

News release from Bowls Australia:

Final chance to get involved in the World's Biggest Bowls Festival!

 
 This is it! After over four months of entries, we are now only three-and-a-half days away from the official close of entries on Monday evening.
Therefore, this long weekend will be the final chance for bowlers far and wide to get their entries together and submit them before entries close at 11:59pm on Monday, April 25.

"The Board of Bowls Victoria has determined to amend its membership categories of players covered by the Bowls Victoria Regulations to more accurately reflect the reality of what is occurring membership wise in our Clubs."

Review of Conditions of Play

The NSW State Match Committee will soon begin the process of reviewing the 2016 Men's Conditions of Play.

"It has been suggested that singles should be played to 25 shots up, and that pairs and fours should be played to 18 ends, as per International events and events played in other states."

"Scroungers" at MacKay BC

"Who knew the green was where you would hear so much banter? That's exactly the case at the MacKay Bowling Club every Thursday afternoon. The club plays "scroungers" which is a less formal version of lawn bowls."

ZONE 14 REGAIN TWO OF THREE SHIELDS AT THE ANNUAL DOOKER/EGGERT DAY

"Last Sunday, 3rd April, 2016, saw the first contest of the newly formatted Dooker/Eggert Day. Since the decisions made by both Zone 11 (Manning) and Zone 14 (North Coast) to dissolve Districts and incorporate boundary changes, the traditional contests for the Dooker/Eggert Shield, the Millennium Shield and Challenge Shield will now be an ongoing, annual Zone event between them."
