Port City Men's Bowling Club news report for the week ending Sunday 20th October.
Wednesday pm :- $15:- R Bradbury & G Worley. $10:- E Dasczyk & F Mulligan. $7:- B Smith, B Sharman & B Kemp.
Thursday pm :- $15:- I Lennox & R Apps. $10:- R Redhead & P Ascott-Evans. $7 :- K Tonkin & R Eriksson
The jackpot started again on Thursday with John O’Neill & Tommy Smith going for $280 but were unlucky. It will be about $340 next Thursday.
Friday pm : Bowls were washed out, lovely to see the rain.
Saturday pm.:- $15:- Jeff Brown & Bob Counsell $10:- Rob Bradbury & Greg Keft $7.00 :- M.Parry & Ron Thompson
Neville Schwartz & Partner were hopeful but missed the jackpot of $192 so it rolls on next Saturday. It will be about $210 next week. We are now running men's pairs as well on Saturday afternoons.
Championships:- The final of the Mixed Pairs championship was played Saturday with the winners being :- Lyn & Bryce Stewart over Elaine Eames & Dean Jenner ,Congratulations to Lyn & Bryce .
Sunday Mixed Triples :- The Sunday mixed afternoon was again a success with 66 bowlers enjoying the breezy conditions.
The Lucky Winners :- $15 :- Don Stone, Francis Green & Daph Stone, $10 :- Mary Bennett, C.Cobcroft & N.Cobcroft, $7 :- Maureen Carkeek, Bob Hough & Russell Carkeek.
Lucky Envelopes :- Joy Barry, Brenda Burge, Les Scholz, Elaine Eames & Jim O’Brien
Raffle Winners:- Keith Edward, Keith Edward & Don Stone
Next Week The Jackpot will be $150.
