Lawn Bowls fights Equal Opportunity Tribunal Demand in SA


 Lawn bowlers are fighting an Equal Opportunity Tribunal ruling the competition in South Australia must abandon single-sex teams.

The Tribunal ruled last year that Bowls SA must abolish separate male and female competitions by 2014 or risk being in breach of the Equal Opportunity Act.

  1. An interesting article Brian. Equal opportunity issues are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to compliance with State and Federal legislation these days. Harassment, anti discrimination and bullying also require close consideration and careful responses. It would be a fair bet that readers of this blog can come up with other examples.
