Report on day 2 Seniors Inter Zone.
Play was conducted in light drizzle which slowed the greens considerably from day one. Zone fourteen started the day in second place in their section, two points behind zone thirteen and with an eighteen shot deficit.
Needing to win and have zone thirteen loose, whilst also erasing the shot deficit to reach the semi-final, Zone fourteen defeated zone five 61/37. Zone six then defeated Zone thirteen 72/54 progressing Zone 14.
In the semi-final Zone ten were too strong for Zone fourteen winning 71/54. The other semi-final was a close run match with Zone nine outlasting Zone one 58/56. Both games were concluded under lights with a large number of spectators on hand to enjoy the contest.
