Port City Men's BC Veteran's Day

The Port City Men's Bowling Club Veteran's Day will be held onThursday 11th April with bowls commencing at 10:00 am. followed by lunch and presentation of badges for veterans and super veterans. 

Open to all club members 70 years of age and over this free day, courtesy of the Men's BC, is always enjoyed by all. 

See the list on the notice board to enter and. if applicable, apply for a badge - veterans 70 years and super veterans 75 years.

Port Panthers Encouragement Men's Triples - July 2013

Entries are now open for the popular Men's Encouragement Triples restricted to No. 4 Pennant players and below. Non 2013 Pennant players are also welcome.

Men's Pennant at Port City - Round 4

Round 4 of the LNC Men's Pennant was played today with the following results at Port City. The 1:00 pm starting time is proving popular with most matches completed prior to 4:30 and providing time for visiting clubs to arrive home in good time.

Grade 1: Port City lost to Westport 1 - 5
Grade 3: Port City def. Hat Head 6 - 0

Grade 4: Port City lost to Port Panthers 2 1/2 - 3 1/2
Grade 5: Port City lost to North Haven (2) 2 - 4

On Tuesday, 19th March, President Barbara announced that the Club Singles start today and there were 32 entrants, the results are as follows: -

Port City MBC Major Fours Final

Winners (L -R) Callum Murray, John Keller, Trevor Scholz & Paul Brady 

The final of the Port City Men's Bowling Club Major Fours was played today with Callum Murray, John Keller, Trevor Scholz & Paul Brady (skip) taking out the championship.

 Paul & team defeated Greg Keft, Keith Ashdown, Alan White & Geoff Worley (skip) 21 - 16.

Big Bowl Singles at Lake Cathie

The semi finals and final of the Big Bowl Singles are being played at Lake Cathie today.

LNC District State Singles goes to Peter Taylor

The long delayed final of the LNC District Greater State Singles has been completed with the all Kempsey Heights final going to Peter Taylor. Peter defeated Scott Franklin 31 - 26.

On Tuesday 12th March President Barbara was playing pennants so Vice-President Ann did the announcements. Ann wished all the pennant players well and advised that Warwick Kempster would be the umpire for the day. She also thanked all the girls for their help in the kitchen preparing lunches.

The final of the LNC District State Fours was played at Port City this morning.

The Kempsey Heights team of Terry Burley, Scott Franklin, Peter Taylor & Matt Sargeant defeated Dennis Smith, John Atkins, Danny Murray & Mark Atkins from Lake Cathie 31 - 9.

Hastings Haven District Singles

 Congratulations to Carol White on winning the Hastings Haven District Singles

for the second year in a row. I believe that this makes the third time Carol has won the District Singles. Regional Singles play-off will be held at Westport on 27^th June.
