Port City Men's BC Weekly News Report

Port City Men's Bowling Club news report for the week ending Sunday 28th October.

Wednesday pm :- 84 bowlers with the day winners :- $15  Alan Buss, Colin Halls  & Tom Cornforth  $10 John Rock, John Franklin  &  Bill Nugent .

Thursday pm :- 48 bowlers with the day winners :- $15 David Lomas, John Faddy & Ron Apps  $10 Ken Taylor, Graham Connell  & Neville Schwartz  The jackpot of $230 was not won by Frank Smith, Keith Scotney  & Keith Hall.

Friday pm :-78 bowlers with the day winners being :- $15 Bill Greenaway , Brian Stokes  & Barry Smith.  $10 Geoff Barney, Fred Rauch  &  Tommy Smith .The jackpot of $556 was not won by Geoff Barney, Fred Rauch & Tommy Smith but each received a $10 voucher .Next week the jackpot $600.

Saturday pm :-We had 64 bowlers play in our open pairs with the day winners :-$15 Kevin Hercus  & Elaine Hercus; $10 Terry Schollum  & Richard Trow .The jackpot of $164 was not  won by Barbara Gunn  & Peter Gunn .

Sunday pm :- 76 players.$15 Sue Limbert , Joan Limbert & Ron Limbert $10 Carol Banks , Jan Gauld  & Terry Millward$7 Kevin Hercus  &  Elaine Hercus. The Jackpot of $90 was not won . Lucky envelopes 1st  Robin Hehir  2nd  Sue Smith  3rd  Bruce Thompson  4th  Alf Wellings  5th Elaine Eames  . Raffle 1st  Les Scholz   2nd  Jim O’Brien   3rd  Barbara Campbell

Upcoming Events:- Melbourne Cup Bowls Day entry forms are In the special folder on the board .
Next Saturday 3rd of November there will be a Barefoot Bowls Day to raise funds for a Community Walkway & Exercise Park at the Base Hospital held by Lachlan Macquarie Lodge Freemasons ,With About $3,000 worth of prizes all donated by local businesses .
There will be a BBQ all day so come and support this very worthy cause .

Don’t forget the Friday night  monster meat raffle buy $5 get $5 free ,Tickets go on sale from 5pm .And our after bowls raffle on Sunday of $1,000 of meat trays -tickets go on sale from 4.30 pm .
