Port City Men's BC Weekly News Report


Port City Men's Bowling Club news report for the week ending Sunday 30th September.

Wednesday pm :- 72 Bowlers with the day winners :- $15 David Lomas , Warren Francis  & Tony Newell  $10 Ken Elvy , Len Grambau & Jim O’Brien . 
Thursday pm :- 72 Bowlers played in warm windy conditions with the day winners being :- $15 Kevin Henwood  & Jim Burge .  $10 Eddy Dasczyk & Chris Thornton . Mick Hayes & Terry Mawer failed miserably in their attempt to win the jackpot of $600. Next week the jackpot Will be $600.

Friday pm :-72 bowlers attempted to play bowls on this very windy day with the day winners being :- $15 Ken Paulsen & Bryce Stewart $10 Col Halls & Joe Piola.The jackpot of $276 was not won by Fred Williams & Keith McCosker.Next week the jackpot $300 plus.

Saturday pm :-$15 D.Pateman  & Jim Lamb$10 John Carn  & Peter Gunn .The jackpot of $232 was not won.

Next Saturday there will be a free sausage sizzle before bowls .Saturday will now be open pairs with the jackpot starting @ $250 plus.( With a blind draw )

Sunday pm :- 64 Players with the day winners $15 Jen Munston , Norma Schwartz  &  Jack Milnes $10 Hazel Durrant , Robin Hehir  &  Keith Dalton  $7 Brenda Burge , Jim Burge  & Martin Wallis . Lucky Envelopes 1st Barbara Campbell  2nd Elaine Hercus  3rd Marian Poulter  4th Jim Lobley  5th Brian Blevins . Raffle 1st  Jim O’Brien  2nd  Ingrid Code  3rd  G.Hooker . Next week "no winners or losers".

Upcoming Events:- The Corporate Bowls Challenge start’s on the 11th of October so get your teams in filling fast .
Don’t forget the Friday night  Monster Meat Raffle buy $5 get $5 free ,Tickets go on sale from 5pm .And our after bowls raffle on Sunday of $1,000 of Meat Trays - Tickets go on sale from 4.30 pm .
