A successful Vince Smith Memorial Day was held at Lake Cathie BC. See Ray's report for details. Ray also advised that the Smith family elected to share the cost of promoting a day each year in Vince's memory with the Men's Club with a total prize pool of $4,000.

LNC Men's State Fours

The Zone 14 Lower North Coast State Championships commenced this week end with the Open Fours played at the Hibbard Sports Club. The semi finals will be completed this afternoon to decide the 2 teams to meet in the finals (details to be advised).

Results and scoring will be posted later when available. Additional photos from this mornings play in the quarter finals can be viewed here.

Update: S. Globits & team (North Haven) will play D. Barrett & team (Port City) in the final. Results can be viewed here thanks to Terry Merchant.

Zone 14 Sponsors

 
The start of the Zone 14 State Championship Fours event for the Lower North Coast area was held at the Hibbard Sports Club (Port Panthers) on Saturday, 27th February.  This event also included a presentation of signed Zone 14 Representative shirts in an encased frame to the Zone sponsors, Jax Tyres and LJ Hooker of Port Macquarie.  Many thanks to President Darrel Foster and his committee and Board Chairman Terry Merchant and his Directors for staging this event.

Zone 14 LNC Men's Pennant

The Zone 14 LNC Men's Pennant draws are now available.

Grade 1, now under control of Bowls NSW, commences on Saturday 5th March.
Grades 2 - 7 administered by Zone 14, commences on Saturday 12 March.

Note in all grades double headers are scheduled with games on some Sundays. I would assume the home team is the 1st named team in the draw.

The East Cessnock BC $50,000 5 a Side Challenge will be held from Monday 18th - Thursday 21 April, 2016. A quality field has entered with many of the top players signing up.
