Port City WBC Weekly News 16th May

There was no Social Bowls on Tuesday 14^th May due to the Port City Open Singles being played this week.

Thursday 9^th May Debbie Amor def Carol White and Pat Light def Fay Martin in the Club Pairs.





The pairs games carded for Saturday 11^th May had to be cancelled owing to wet weather. They will now be played on Friday 17^th May (weather permitting) and the finals will be played on Saturday 18^th May.

The next Umpires Discussion Group will be held at Lake Cathie Bowling Club on Monday 20^th May 2013 commencing at 9.30 am. The meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more about the Laws of our sport, or who may be interested in becoming an Umpire.

The draw is on the noticeboard for the Club Fours and the first round will be played Tuesday 21^st May. Please stay after lunch ladies for the May Quarterly Meeting.

The sheet is on the board for Panther’s Gala Day to be held on 22^nd May. It is never too soon to put your name down as this is the way most of the money is raised for District Events.

Entries close on 24^th May for the Versatility Fives and will be played on Monday 3^rd June and Tuesday 4^th June. We need more entries please. Three more workers are needed to help out in the kitchen.

Nominations are open for District Office Bearers – see noticeboard.
On Tuesday 28^th May we will be holding the Biggest Morning Tea from 9.00 am. So please try to arrive earlier than usual.

We are short of spiders and would appreciate any donations.

Handicap Triples will be held on 30^th July.
