Port City Men's Bowling Club news report for the week ending Sunday the 24th March.

Wednesday pm :- The day winners :- $15 Jim Burge, Martin Wallis & Brian Stokes;  $10 John Rodick , Gordon Haldane & Brian Crutcher .

The final of the Major Fours was played today between the teams of Greg Keft, Keith Ashdown, Alan White & Geoff Worley and Callum Murray, John Keller,Trevor Scholz & Paul Brady and after a very close and great game it was won by :- Callum Murray, John Keller, Trevor Scholz & Paul Brady .Congratulations to Paul’s team and commiserations to Geoff’s team - it was played in great spirits .

Thursday pm :- Major Pairs :-   Eric Durrant & Paul Brady def Tony Owens & Bob Waterhouse , Allan Eames & Keith Ashdown def  Max Glasse & Chris Thornton. 

Thursday pm :- day winners :-  $15 Warren Francis & Fred Mulligan ; $10  Gary Hargraves & Gerry Eyles   The Jackpot Of $600 was not won by Peter Gilligan & Tom Cornforth .Next week the jackpot will be $600.

There will be no social bowls on Good Friday the29^th  March. Saturday is Ladies Triples and Monday the 1^st April is Men’s Pairs .

A reminder that in all club championships all players must be dressed in the same attire as per the clubs by-laws.
